Membership Has Its Privileges

Posted on May 6, 2010

This past weekend I did something I've never done in the history of Fellowship Church. Normally, our membership class is held after each service in another room. But heading into the weekend, I felt a strong leading to present the vision, reality and benefits of membership in the local church to everyone from the stage. The response to the weekend was amazing!

983 people filled out the membership covenant.
983 people stepped up and joined our church.
983 people committed to becoming active members in the body of Christ.

And every one of those 983 discovered that membership truly does have its privileges. And one of the greatest is realizing the truth that fellowship isn't only what a church is; it's what a church does!

H
ouse of Honor

Practicality in Teaching
Matthew 13:34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable.
