Two Amazing Churches. One unforgettable trip.

Posted on January 21, 2009

My family and I had the opportunity to travel to two churches on the other side of the globe that are definitely reaching the next generation. The first was Hillsong London. The energy and youth there were phenomenal! Here's just a glimpse of that amazing church. Check it out. On the second leg of the trip, we traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa to speak at Rivers Church. Talk about a church on a 'hole 'nutha level!

Guest Post – Ben Young – Gloves, Gifts and C3

Posted on January 18, 2009

There was a man who had traveled to a developing country on business matters during a frigid winter storm. But he was well prepared for the cold in his long tailored coat and warm wool gloves. Walking down the dirty streets, he saw a little boy who didn't have any proper winter clothes. The business man looked at him with compassion, simply took off his gloves, and placed them in the hands of this little boy. The boy took the gloves in ...

25:40

In Matthew 25:40 Jesus talks about helping "the least of these." Recently, my family and I had the opportunity to help some people who live each day with less than any one of us. And while we delivered something most of us take for granted - shoes - we also had the chance to share the one thing that none of us should ever take for granted - the good news of hope in Jesus Christ. Check out this quick video. And think about ways you can step up ...

Looking Back; Moving Forward

Posted on December 22, 2008

Lisa and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Right now, as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, most of us tend to reflect on what has happened over the past year. So here is a quick look at where God has led Fellowship Church these past several months. But as we look in the rearview mirror, we don't stop moving forward. So we invite you to continue looking ...

Guest Post – Jentezen Franklin (Free Chapel)

I hope you are as excited as I am about this year's C3 Conference! I am really looking forward to this great opportunity to receive from some of the most creative leaders in ministry today. This year's theme of Beautiful Feet makes me think of the variety of gifts that make up the Church. No one has my feet; they are only mine. I don't have your feet; they are only yours. Your feet serve a specific purpose in God's plan, as ...

Guest Post – Steven Furtick (Elevation Church)

Three years ago I attended the Creative Church Conference (C3) for the first time, and it absolutely changed my life! And the thought that I'll be speaking at the very same conference God used to inspire me in such a deep way three years ago is pretty surreal. There's something about the ministry of Ed Young and Fellowship Church that is uniquely inspirational. It's like when you take your team to the Fellowship campus, God ...

The Challenge Continues

Posted on November 21, 2008

There's no doubt this challenge has been, well, challenging. With the pace of life, the rush of our schedules, we've all had barriers to negotiate. I have to admit, my schedule has gone to a hole 'nutha level this week! But it's great to hear that so many couples are finding ways to overcome those barriers. God is doing some amazing work in the lives of so many people - not only married, but single as well. ...

7 Days of ?!?!

Posted on November 19, 2008

I'm not even sure what day it is! We've been going at such a whirlwind pace getting ready to go to London and Johannesburg that it's been a challenge to keep the challenge. But don't worry. Lisa and I haven't bailed out. It's just made us think more about our strategy to make time to make love. And there are so many things that Lisa and I have discovered so far. For one, we are thinking more creatively about ...

7 Days of Sex – He Said/She Said (Pre-Challenge)

Posted on November 14, 2008

He (Ed) said:The amount of press this challenge has gotten over the last several days has been a little surprising. I can't say I'm shocked, though. Our culture is so used to toilet water that it's refreshing when we get a taste of God's pure desire for sex in marriage. So no, I'm not shocked. I'm excited. But the most exciting aspect of this isn't the press. It's not the news coverage or the interviews. The most exciting part of this right now ...
