I Have a Confession to Make

Posted on 10/17/2011

Parents, nothing in the world highlights and underscores the transcendent values of God like the church. Sports don’t do it. Education doesn’t do it. Movies and media don’t do it. Only the local church does. And I can’t emphasize enough the importance and priority the local church should play in the life of your family.

Because when you run to HIS HOUSE,
then you’ll discover how to run YOUR HOUSE.

So parents, get your kids to church! God has put you in a position of leadership and authority that comes down to this: parents are parents; kids are kids. Don’t try to be your kid’s buddy or best friend. They need you to be the parent. So when they don’t feel like going, get them to church anyway you can…even if you have to drag them.

Pastor Ed, great challenge and reminder about keeping the MAIN thing the MAIN thing. Parenting is not rocket science but it is a test of endurance. So often the constant grind blurs my focus, and I need God (thru to church) to remind me of what my priorities are in raising my kids. Thank you!

Wow! FINALLY got to visit Fellowship! Went to your Bookstore and of ALL of your many books, I chose for my 20yr old–(“10 Fears Of Christians)…? He & his BF had questioned us many times about their fears of dying although both Godly young men, we knew it was a natural fear
–(this was end of July) -The only part of this other young man’s life that I’d not been a part of was his birth. They returned to College & he was killed in an automobile accident… 20 yrs old— It has been one tough year for our son–But the joy knowing your book brought relief to my son. GOD’s TIMING IS TRULY PERFECT- Bless You and Lisa!!
